FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Waswanipi, Qc – December 29, 2023 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Waswanipi detachment, along with the Sûreté Du Québec, received a call in the evening of December 28th concerning a vehicle accident on Highway 113 near KM 224.
There were 4 individuals in the vehicle, 2 males and 2 females. One of the female passengers, aged 32, was pronounced deceased at the Waswanipi clinic. The other 3 individuals were sent to the Chibougamau and Quévillion hospitals due to their injuries.
Given the location of the accident, the Sûreté du Québec will be taking over the file.
