FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chisasibi, Qc– April 12, 2024– Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Chisasibi detachment responded to a call on April 11th, 2024 in a residence with a broken window. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that it came from a bullet (projectile).
The Chisasibi detachment continued the investigation, were granted and executed the search warrant at a residence on Cook Street to seize the bullet (projectile).
During the operation, the Eeyou Eenou Police Force executed another search warrant at a residence on Cook Street. No firearms were seized, but did seize restricted ammunition of 9mm caliber.
The Eeyou Eenou Police Force are seeking for any potential witnesses that may have any information relating to this case to please contact the Chisasibi detachment at 819-855-3499.
We would like to also remind the public the importance of firearm safety. With Goose Break around the corner, practicing our traditions and hunting activities should be done safely and all firearms handled properly.
