FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Whapmagoostui, Qc- October 16, 2024 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Whapmagoostui detachment are requesting the public’s assistance. On the morning of October 12th, 2024 at approximately 05h15 a.m., an unknown individual broke into a transit unit of the Cree Board of Health and Social Services of James Bay. That person of interest stole items and also assaulted the person living in that unit with the use of a weapon.
The perpetrator in question is male and was wearing a hoodie.
We are asking the public in Whapmagoostui/Kuujjuaraapik to come forward with any information regarding these events. If anyone noticed anything that morning and saw anything around the firehall or MSDC to contact 819-929-3748 to speak with our investigator.
