FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chisasibi, Qc – March 19, 2025 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Chisasibi detachment along with officers of the Sûreté du Québec executed a search warrant at a residential address in Chisasibi on the morning of Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
The search warrant was obtained as a result of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking activity within the community. As a result of the operation, Eeyou Eenou Police Force located and seized a quantity of what is suspected to be cocaine, hashish, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.
One male suspect was arrested at the scene without incident and is charged with Trafficking in Substance and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. He was released with Promise to Appear and a Police Undertaking.
The operation resulted in the confiscation of over $3000.00 in street value.
