FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Waswanipi, Qc – July 4, 2024 – Members of the Eeyou Eenou Police Force of the Waswanipi detachment along with members of the Sûreté du Québec executed a search warrant at 00:00 (midnight) on a house in the community of Waswanipi.
More than half an ounce of cocaine and over $300 in Canadian currency related to the offence was found and seized.
One male and one female were arrested and are facing charges of Trafficking in Substance; and Possession for Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act. Both suspects were released with a promise to appear in court.
