EEPF Police Commission

The Police Commission was established at the same time as the regionalisation of the police services and creation of the EEPF. The mandate of the Eeyou Eenou Police Commission is to enhance peace, harmony and justice throughout Eeyou Istchee by ensuring the highest standards of policing and police conduct for the EEPF.  The representative from the communities is appointed by the Grand Council of the Crees/ Cree Nation Government, following the recommendation from the local Chief and Council. If you have concerns or suggestions regarding the delivery of police services in your community, you can reach out to your Commissioner, who will be able to forward the information to the appropriate person
